As you may be aware, The BNC attended our last meeting at Ty Cegin.
Below you will find quotes from Teacher Miss Elen Clampitt who is the influence in steering their movements and the
BNC group themselves.
Thank you for the minutes. We had a BNC meeting with the 2 extra members on Friday 12th Feb.
We discussed the outcomes of the meeting the night before, and I asked the group to go away and think about the future of the group,
how we can progress and also how we could work so that we can become involved with the People of Bangor Community Group more.
Because like you say,
the aims that we have are very similar to the ones that you are already working towards.
I had a look at the webpage, it looks great. Thank you for the BNC-dedicated section.
It would be good if we can get together to discuss how we can manage that space. It would be good if we can somehow upload the S4C
video on there, but I’d need permission to do that first.
Also, if the girls become involved in running it…which I’d like them to, they will need parental consent.
Miss Clampitt We thought that the meeting was ‘brilliant’. ‘
We have listened to each other’s thoughts and it was good to hear about older peoples thoughts’.
We value the opportunity to become involved with the Carnival and the bag packing and also to have a stall at the Carnival.
We are very appreciative of the support that PBCG gave. We felt very welcomed and the meeting gave the group confidence to speak
out about their views
We have been introduced to other Ysgol Friars pupils who had made similar efforts in the past and they have
welcomed them to their group to see how they can progress.
